The Halton Regional Police Service Project Safeguard is designed to help residents of Halton Region address key external home safety concerns. It is operated regionwide by the HRPS Auxiliary Policing Services Unit and runs throughout the year, subject to officer availability.
Halton Regional Police Service Auxiliary officers visit residences with pre-scheduled appointments and conduct external security checks on each property. At the end of the one-hour inspection, homeowners will receive written reports with recommendations for improving the overall security of their home.
Space is limited and residents who cannot be accommodated in a given session will be contacted at a later date.
