The Halton Regional Police Service is investigating an attempted robbery at a local park in Oakville.
Shortly after 11:30 p.m. on June 12th, three friends attended Jonathan Park located on Jonathan Drive after watching a hockey game. While in the park, they were approached by a group of six to ten males who demanded their personal belongings and then began assaulting the victims. As a result of this violent assault, all three victims suffered minor injuries. Two of the victims were taken to Oakville Trafalgar hospital for treatment and were released. Some of the suspects fled the scene on foot while the remaining suspects fled the area on bicycles.
Suspect #1 is described as male, black, 17 to 19 years old, 6’3”, slim build. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and black track pants. Suspect #2 is described as male, black, 6’, braided hair that was longer and “puffy “in the back. His hair was pulled back with a bandana. He was wearing a blue and white striped shirt and jean shorts. Suspect #2 was observed leaving the scene on a small black BMX bike heading northbound on Jonathan Drive. The remaining suspects are described as males, black, approximately 17 to 19 years old. No further descriptions are available at this time. Nothing was taken.
