The Halton Regional Police Service is investigating property damage to a local residence in Georgetown.
On July 1st, a Guelph Street landlord entered a vacant apartment and found the kitchen sink had been plugged with newspapers and the faucet was left on. The water accumulated and spilled from the sink. It leaked into the basement causing floor and ceiling damage. There was no sign of forced entry. Total damage is unknown at this time.
On June 29th, a similar incident occurred at the same location. In this incident, the premise was entered. A waterbed was slashed and the sink was again plugged.
