The Halton Regional Police Service is investigating four break and enters to new homes under construction in Oakville.
Between October 7, 2009 and February 8, 2010, unknown suspect(s) gained entry by forcing open either the front or rear doors of four new homes under construction in south Oakville. Once inside, the suspect(s) removed all the built-in appliances.
Stolen items include Subzero side-by-side fridges, Wolf gas ranges, Bosch & Miele dishwashers, Sharp microwaves, Miele coffee makers, Marvel wine cellars and Viking barbeques. Also, stolen was some electronic media equipment.
It appears the suspect(s) had specific knowledge of the contents of the homes and may have had previous experience installing appliances. It is also believed that at least two suspect(s) are involved and are using a large truck to transport the stolen items.
