There are many rewarding jobs within the Halton Regional Police Service that don't involve issuing a single ticket. More than 200 permanent, full-time civilian employees provide support and specialized expertise in areas such as 9-1-1 Communications, IT, Human Resources, Finance and Corporate Communications to the entire Service.
Full-time employees receive competitive compensation, benefit and pension packages, as well as qualify for tuition reimbursement to help them achieve their desired career goals.
In addition to our full-time members, our Service maintains a pool of approximately 80 temporary employees who are hired to cover positions that cannot remain vacant during periods of absence. These identified positions require significant training and the individuals holding these contracts have been fully assessed and demonstrate the competencies required to perform all aspects of the job.
The Halton Regional Police Service's job posting system gives all civilians (continuing and/or contractual basis staff members) the opportunity to apply for promotion or career change.
We have made significant strides to ensure that our employee population reflects the makeup of the community we serve. The Halton Regional Police Service is an equal opportunity employer.
