Milton Village Constable:

Constable Kevin Bochsler is the Village Constable for Milton. He is responsible for the Old Downtown Milton business core as well as other areas, as required. Constable Bochsler works with business owners and employees on a professional level to address issues of concern in a timely manner. He is also a partner for the Service's High School Liaison Officers and is a member of a team focused on addressing youth issues and supporting the youth of Milton.

Constable Bochsler's activities also include:

  • Liaises with the Downtown Business Improvement Association (DBIA)
  • Sits on the Milton Mayor's Youth Advisory Committee
  • Supports the Domestic Violence Coordinator by creating and conducting safety plans, and
  • Takes a lead role at special local events held in the core area such as fall fairs, Canada Day, and the Santa Claus Parade

Other community partnership initiatives involve presentations on crime prevention and personal safety.

Constable Bochsler maintains a strong public image through foot and bike patrols of parks, trails and schools to enforce the Criminal Code of Canada, Liquor Licence Act, and Highway Traffic Act when appropriate.

Community Support Officer:

The Community Support Officer, Constable Maureen Andrew, works in partnership with many community organizations in Milton and Halton Hills, including:

  • The Town of Milton
  • The Town of Halton Hills
  • Golden Horseshoe Crime Prevention Association
  • Risk Watch
  • Halton Hills Injury Prevention Network
  • Parent Education Network
  • Our Kids Network
  • Seniors and Law Enforcement Together (Georgetown and Acton)

These partnerships open the doors of communication on many levels, including providing training and support, committee work and personal interaction.
 
The Community Support Officer is responsible for bringing Smartrisk to Halton as a tool for high school aged youth to use in their decision-making processes.  

Cst. Andrew is an extension of the Halton Regional Police Service on committees such as Cops For Cancer and as an active leader in the annual Milton Volunteer Fair.  She is manager of the 1 District Communities On Phone Patrol (COPP) Program and uses them in support of the Criminal Investigation Bureau, delivering crime prevention letters to specific problem areas in the District. 

Cst. Andrew delivers numerous presentations in the community on personal safety, crime prevention, crime prevention through environmental design (CPTED), seniors issues, school bus safety and bicycle safety.
