On March 6, 2013, at 9:42 am, the Halton Regional Police Service responded to a complaint of a naked intruder attempting to get into a residence on Prince Street in the Town of Milton.

 

A 25 year old male person had attended the residence and was opening the front door of the residence.  A female elderly homeowner was present and attended at the front door and observed the male person to be nude and was only wearing socks. 
 
The male person came into the house and spoke to the home owner and appeared disoriented and confused.  The homeowner provided the male person with a housecoat garment to cover himself up with.  He was not aggressive with the homeowner but was acting irrationally.

 

A citizen across the street observed the nude person at the front door of this residence and telephoned the Halton Regional Police Service who attended a few minutes later.  The male person exited out the front door of the residence and was apprehended by the police officers.  The male person was confused and desired that the police take him to hospital. 
 
The male person was calm and had self reportedly disclosed to the officers that he had taken some type of drugs prior to this event.  The exact type of drugs mentioned in this self reporting disclosure have not been determined or confirmed to be a factor in this incident.

 

The male person was taken to the Milton District Hospital and was taken to the emergency area.  While at the hospital the previously cooperative male subject became very aggressive and acting irrationally.  Four police officers attempted to restrain the handcuffed male person as he was standing and jumping on a hospital gurney.  In the process of restraining the male person he bit two of the police officers on the forearm on each of their arms.

 

Both police officers received medical treatment for the bite injury.  The male person continued to be admitted to the hospital for further observation and treatment by medical staff.
 
The elderly homeowner was not injured or accosted in any way in this incident.  It was unclear as to why he attended this specific residence naked and as to exactly what he wanted from the residents of this premise. 

 

The male person will be charged with two counts of Assaulting Peace Officers contrary to Section 270 of the Criminal Code.  He is scheduled to attend on a first court appearance on April 15, 2013 at the Ontario Court of Justice in the Town of Milton.
