Public Affairs
Media Relations Officer - Sergeant Chantal Corner

The Halton Regional Police recognize the vital role both internal and external communications and marketing play in achieving the vision to be a world-class police service.

The Corporate Communication and Media Relations Unit is staffed by one Sergeant and two civilians, a Communications Analyst and a Corporate Communications Specialist.

Using best practices in strategic communication and marketing, the team ensures its activities are consistent with the Service's values of Trust & Respect, Integrity, Accountability, Excellence, Teamwork and Justice. They produce scores of brochures, flyers and posters for all areas of the Service which play a major role in crime prevention, public awareness and understanding and support of policing in the Halton Region. They are also responsible for the Service’s Annual Reports, Business Plans and maintaining the Services’ website.

The Halton Regional Police values the role the media plays in keeping citizens informed. The media relations officer works closely with local media and other media outlets to give the Service the transparency and promotion it deserves. Up to date media releases are posted on a regular basis and are available to the public.
