Fingerprinting for obtaining a copy of record may be taken at the Halton Regional Police Service Headquarters, located at 1151 Bronte Road in Oakville, Monday to Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
An appointment must be made in advance by calling 905-825-4731 and applicants must reside in Halton Region. Prints will not be taken for anyone who walks in without an appointment.
There is a fingerprinting fee of $28.25 and two pieces of valid government issued identification, one of which has a photo, must be presented. Extra sets of fingerprints cost $11.30.
The local police records check in the Pardon Application booklet must be taken to every police agency where the applicant has lived in the last five (5) years. This form may be dropped off in Halton Region at one of the above locations during their hours of operation.
There is a fee of $30.00, payable by cash, debit card, Visa or Mastercard. If the fee is paid with a personal cheque, the local police records check will be held for ten (10) business days until the cheque clears the bank. Two (2) pieces of valid government issued identification must be viewed. One must have the applicant's name and date of birth.

A clear photocopy of two of the above pieces of identification and the $80.00 fee must accompany the form, and photocopies of the identification must be notarized. The fee may be paid with a personal or certified cheque or a postal or money order. If the fee is paid with a personal cheque, the form will be held for ten (10) business days until the cheque clears the bank.
