Forensic Firearms

The Halton Regional Police Service Forensic Firearms Unit falls under Forensic Services, and is staffed by a Provincial Firearms Officer and an Area Firearms Officer.

They are responsible for firearms licensing, the examination and certification of firearms and the destruction of firearms that have been turned over to police for disposal or ordered by the courts to be destroyed.
