***UPDATE*** Male charged with Voyeurism at Oakville Community Center



On July 10, 2017, a woman was preparing to go swimming at the Iroquois Ridge Community Centre in Oakville and caught an unknown male filming her as she got ready. The woman was not physically harmed and there is no information to suggest children were targeted in this incident. Further, this was the first incident reported to the police involving this accused.

The Halton Police worked in partnership with the Town of Oakville to quickly identify the suspect and ensure the safety of all individuals attending public facilities in Oakville. The Halton Police also received several tips from the public which assisted in identifying the arrested party.

On July 13, 2017, the accused was arrested and subsequently released on a Promise to Appear and an Undertaking.

CHARGED:

Ritesh SHAH (44 years of age) of Oakville was charged with one count of voyeurism.

Voyeurism in Oakville – Male Filming Woman in Change Room The Halton Police are seeking the public's assistance in identifying a male believed to be involved in a case of voyeurism. On July 11, 2017, at 7:45 pm, a woman caught an unknown male filming her as she was getting ready to swim in the family change room of the Iroquois Ridge Community Center in Oakville. The male fled the community center upon being confronted by the woman.

This is the first incident to have been reported to the Halton Police involving this suspect in the Town of Oakville.

Suspect Description: Male, brown skin, 35 to 45 years old, 5'10" to 6' tall, medium build, short dark hair, glasses, wearing a blue golf shirt, beige cargo shorts, and dark sandals.
