Halton Police ends Suspect's robbery spree

On December 30, 2017 at approximately 10:15pm the Halton Regional Police Service responded to a robbery at Mac's Milk convenience store located at 10 Mountainview Road South in the Town of Halton Hills. Four male suspects entered the store, brandished a firearm and bound the clerk. The suspects then proceeded to steal a quantity of cigarettes, cash and candy before fleeing in a vehicle. The clerk did not sustain any injuries.

At 10:40pm responding officers located the suspect vehicle and observed the suspects in the area of 374 Guelph Street. Uniform officers were able to arrest three of the males immediately. A fourth suspect was able to briefly flee but was arrested nearby with the assistance of canine.

Four young offenders from Toronto and Brampton have been charged with a number of criminal offences and were held pending a bail hearing. Halton Police will be conducting a thorough follow up investigation and will be liaising with other police services with the anticipation of further charges.
