Impaired Driving Offences Summary Within Halton Region



On Thursday, February 1, 2018 shortly after 11:30 pm, Halton Police officers initiated a mobile R.I.D.E. program in the area Cornwall Road and Maple Grove Road, in Oakville.  A traffic stop was conducted and as a result of an investigation, Adrian Reynolds (51), of Mississauga was charged with driving while ability impaired and driving over 80mgs.

On Friday, February 2, 2018 shortly before 2:00 am, Halton Police officers initiated a traffic stop near the intersection of Guelph Street and Louisa Street, in Halton Hills. As a result of an investigation, Anthony Machado (20), of Mississauga was charged with driving over 80 mgs.

The Halton Regional Police Service remains committed to road safety through prevention, education and enforcement initiatives.
 
Members of the public are reminded that driving under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol is a crime in progress and to call 9-1-1 immediately to report a suspected impaired driver.

The Service’s Twitter and Facebook accounts should not be used for this purpose as they are not monitored 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Please be reminded that all persons charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
