Brampton Man Arrested For Stealing From Trusting Halton Hills Resident

On January 16, 2018 police were contacted by a Halton Hills resident after cash was stolen.

Halton Police attended a farm in rural Halton Hills. Police learned that the homeowner stores a fridge at the side of the residence where eggs are sold to the general public. A jar of money is left within the fridge for customers to pay.

At 5:00pm on January 16, 2018 an unknown male drove on to the property and attended to the fridge. The male stole a quantity of  cash from the jar and left the residence in a motor vehicle. At 1:09pm on February 4th, 2018 the same male attended the residence, removed 9 cartons of eggs from the fridge and cash from the jar. The unknown male was captured on surveillance and a follow up investigation led to his identity.

On February 7, 2018, 38-year-old Parminder VIRK of Brampton was arrested and charged with two counts of theft under $5,000. He was released on a promise to appear.
