On May 9, 2018 shortly after 1:00 pm, Halton Police officers responded to the area of Highway 401 and James Snow Parkway in Milton, in response to a citizen-initiated traffic complaint. As a result of an investigation, Paula Peddle-Thelwell (31), of Ajax was charged with driving while ability impaired.
The Halton Regional Police Service remains committed to road safety through prevention, education and enforcement initiatives.
Members of the public are reminded that driving under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol is a crime in progress and to call 9-1-1 immediately to report a suspected impaired driver.
The Service’s Twitter and Facebook accounts should not be used for this purpose as they are not monitored 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Please be reminded that all persons charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
