Male charged with attempted murder after a stabbing in Oakville

The Halton Regional Police Service has arrested one male in connection with a stabbing that occurred on September 7, 2018.

Shortly after 9:30 p.m. on September 7, 2018, a physical altercation ensued between two patrons at the Kerr Street Pub & Grill, located at 580 Kerr Street, Oakville. Police responded and discovered that both individuals had left the scene prior to police arrival. The investigation revealed the accused had stabbed the male victim multiple times. The victim attended an area hospital and received treatment for serious but non-life threating injuries.

During the early morning hours of September 9, 2018, the Halton Regional Police located the accused, Joshua THEVENIN at a residence in the City of Burlington. THEVENIN was arrested and held in custody pending a bail hearing, scheduled for September 9, 2018.


Joshua Paul THEVENIN (22) of no fixed address has been charged with attempted murder.
