Halton Police Arrest Male in Stolen Car in Milton



On October 2nd, shortly before 9:00am several Halton police officers responded to the area of Martin Street and Market Drive in the Town of Milton in response to a male who was reportedly operating a stolen vehicle from Toronto.   While officers were responding to the scene the male was involved in a minor theft from a nearby gas station as well as a motor vehicle collision.  After the collision the male fled from the stolen car and travelled via taxi to the Northeast part of Milton where officers were able take him into custody without incident.  Initial reports to police suggested that the male was in possession of a firearm, however after an extensive investigation and searches of the surrounding areas no weapon was located.

Michael DANSO (22yrs) of Toronto was charged with the following Criminal Code Offences:

  • Drive Motor Vehicle while Disqualified (2 Counts)
  • Fail to remain at the scene of an accident
  • Theft Under $5000
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
  • Theft of Motor Vehicle 
  • Fail to Comply with Probation Order (3 counts)
