Mississauga Man Arrested for Fraudulently Obtaining Narcotics



In September 2018, members of the Halton Regional Police Service Fraud Unit commenced an investigation into a person of interest in connection with a series of pharmacy frauds throughout the region.

On November 7, 2018, Ali KHATIB (22) of Mississauga, was arrested after he fraudulently obtained narcotics from a pharmacy in Milton. A subsequent search warrant was executed at KHATIB’s residence. As a result, KHATIB was charged with following:

  • Utter forged document (4 counts)
  • Possession of forged documents (9 counts)
  • Identity theft
  • Possession for the purpose – Schedule I
  • Breach of recognizance

KHATIB was held for bail.
