Impaired Driving Offences Within Halton Region



On November 7, 2018 just after 9:30 pm, Halton Police officers initiated a traffic stop in the area of Mountain Grove Avenue and Upper Middle Road in Burlington. As a result of an investigation, Stephen Urquhart (49) of Burlington was charged with driving over 80mgs.
 
On November 9, 2018 just after midnight, Halton Police officers responded to a citizen-initiated complaint in the area of Number 5 Sideroad and Trafalgar Road in Halton Hills. As a result of an investigation, Susan Gray (47) of Mississauga was charged with care or control over 80mgs.
 
On November 9, 2018 just after 11:00 pm, Halton Police officers responded to a collision in the area of James Street and Martha Street in Burlington. As a result of an investigation, Graham Christmas (30) of Burlington was charged with driving while ability impaired and driving over 80mgs.
 
On November 10, 2018 just after 4:00 am, Halton Police officers responded to a citizen-initiated complaint and conducted a traffic stop in the area of Main Street South and Arborglen Drive in Halton Hills. As a result of an investigation, Kelcie Borley (26) of Halton Hills was charged with driving while ability impaired and driving over 80mgs.
 
On November 11, 2018 just after 12:30 am, Halton Police officers responded to a citizen-initiated complaint in the area of Fourth Line and 10 Side Road in Halton Hills. As a result of an investigation, Kevin Stewart (47) of Halton Hills was charged with driving while ability impaired and driving over 80mgs.
 
On November 11, 2018 just before 2:00 pm, Halton Police officers responded to a citizen-initiated complaint in the area of Main Street East and Thompson Road in Milton. As a result of an investigation, Walter Czerwinski (66) of Milton was charged with driving over 80mgs.
 
On November 11, 2018 just before 7:00 pm, Halton Police officers responded to a collision in the area of Winston Park Drive and Upper Middle Road East in Oakville. As a result of an investigation, Carlie Garbella (23) of Oakville was charged with driving while ability impaired and driving over 80mgs.
 
On November 11, 2018 just before 11:00 pm, Halton Police officers responded to a collision in the area of New Street and Woodland Avenue in Burlington. As a result of an investigation, James Dawson (56) of Burlington was charged with driving while ability impaired and driving over 80mgs.
 
The Halton Regional Police Service remains committed to road safety through prevention, education and enforcement initiatives.
 
Members of the public are reminded that driving under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol is a crime in progress and to call 9-1-1 immediately to report a suspected impaired driver.

Please be reminded that all persons charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
