Impaired Driving Offences Within Halton Region



On November 16, 2018 just before 12:30 am, Halton Police officers responded to a collision in the area of Upper Middle Road West and Bishops Gate in Oakville. As a result of an investigation, Leslie Holcomb (43) of Oakville was charged with driving while ability impaired and driving over 80mgs.
 
On November 16, 2018 just before 3:00 pm, Halton Police officers responded to a citizen-initiated complaint and conducted a traffic stop in the area of Belyea Street and Bronte Road in Oakville. As a result of an investigation, Mark Wysocki (48) of Milton was charged with driving while ability impaired and driving over 80mgs.
 
On November 16, 2018 just after 5:00 pm, Halton Police officers responded to a citizen-initiated complaint and conducted a traffic stop in the area of Main Street South and Kingham Road in Halton Hills. As a result of an investigation, Scott Dawe (47) was charged with driving over 80mgs.
 
On November 16, 2018 just after 8:00 pm, Halton Police officers were conducting R.I.D.E. activities in the area of Neyagawa Boulevard and Munns Avenue in Oakville. As a result of this initiative, Warren Baker (72) of Oakville was charged with driving over 80mgs.
 
On November 17, 2018 just before 10:30 pm, Halton Police officers initiated a traffic stop in the area of Bronte Street South and Laurier Avenue in Milton. As a result of an investigation, David Biley (48) of Waterdown was charged with driving over 80mgs.
 
On November 18, 2018 just after 11:00 pm, Halton Police officers initiated a traffic stop in the area of Winston Churchill Boulevard and Truscott Drive in Oakville. As a result of an investigation, Allan Dearman (44) of Mississauga was charged with driving over 80mgs.
 
The Halton Regional Police Service remains committed to road safety through prevention, education and enforcement initiatives.
 
Members of the public are reminded that driving under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol is a crime in progress and to call 9-1-1 immediately to report a suspected impaired driver.
 
The Service's Twitter and Facebook accounts should not be used for this purpose as they are not monitored 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
 
Please be reminded that all persons charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
