UPDATE: Hwy 25 Re-Opened



Hwy. 25 has now been re-opened to all traffic.

***Previous Release***

Highway 25 remains closed in both directions while police wrap up their investigation of a single motor vehicle crash on Highway 25 between 5 and 10 Side Roads.

Preliminary indications are that the driver suffered from some sort of medical emergency prior to driving off the roadway.  The Collision Reconstruction Unit is at the scene assisting patrol officers.

We can confirm that despite efforts of emergency crews the driver succumbed to the medical condition and was pronounced dead at hospital.

Police will not be releasing any information on the driver as next-of-kin have yet to be notified.

Halton Police are currently responding with Fire and EMS to a single motor vehicle crash on Highway 25 between #5 and #10 Side Roads in Halton Hills.

The driver of the car, a male of undetermined age, was found unresponsive behind the wheel.

Highway 25 is currently closed in both directions between the two side roads.  The closure has been made for purposes of safety for the emergency crews on scene due to heavy fog in the area.
