Halton Regional Police have closed Regional Road 25 in the Town of Milton between Britannia Road and Louis St. Laurent Blvd. due to a serious 3-vehicle collision. The Collision Reconstruction Unit is at the site, on RR 25 just north of Britannia and will be taking carriage of the investigation.
At 3:30 p.m. this afternoon, emergency services were called to the collision. One of the drivers was unresponsive and trapped. After extrication that driver was transported to the General Hospital, Hamilton in critical condition. A second driver was taken to Milton District Hospital in serious condition. The third driver appears to have been unharmed.
At this early stage of the investigation we are unable to comment on any cause or contributing factors. Due to the fact next-of-kin have yet to be notified, we will not be making comment on driver or vehicle descriptors at this time.
Regional Road 25 will be closed in both directions between Britannia and Louis St. Laurent for several hours.
