Impaired Driving Offences Within Halton Region



On December 10, 2018, just after 3:30 pm, Halton Police officers responded to a citizen-initiated complaint in the area of Greenway Terrace and Country Club Drive in Burlington. As a result of an investigation, Brett Blankstein (45) of Burlington was charged with driving while ability impaired and driving over 80mgs.

On December 10, 2018, just before 7:00 pm, Halton Police officers responded to a citizen-initiated complaint in the area of Lower Base Line and Sixth Line in Milton. As a result of an investigation, Niroj Paudyal (44) of Mississauga was charged with driving while ability impaired and driving over 80mgs.

On December 10, 2018, just after 8:00 pm, Halton Police officers responded to a citizen-initiated complaint in the area of River Oaks Boulevard West and Sixth Line in Oakville. As a result of an investigation, Gebre Byrnes (39) of Oakville was charged with driving while ability impaired and fail or refuse to provide sample.

On December 11, 2018, just before 1:00 am, Halton Police officers initiated a traffic stop in area of Fairview Street and Commerce Court in Burlington. As a result of an investigation, Ahmad Ismaeel (28) of Hamilton was charged with driving while ability impaired.

On December 11, 2018, just before 6:30 pm, Halton Police officers initiated a traffic stop in area of Third Line and Rebecca Street in Oakville. As a result of an investigation, Spencer Marlow (31) of Oakville was charged with driving over 80mgs.

On December 11, 2018, just before 10:00 pm, Halton Police officers were conducting a R.I.D.E. initiative in the area of the North Service Road and Highway 407 overpass in Burlington. As a result of an investigation, Mark Holton (48) of Burlington was charged with driving while ability impaired.

On December 12, 2018, just after 9:00 pm, Halton Police officers responded to a citizen-initiated complaint in the area of Grand Boulevard and Kimberley Drive in Oakville. As a result of an investigation, Michael Bacon (25) of Oakville was charged with care or control while ability impaired.

On December 14, 2018, just after 12:00 am, Halton Police officers initiated a traffic stop in area of Cornwall Road and Watson Avenue in Oakville. As a result of an investigation, Lawrence Hambley (77) of Oakville was charged with fail or refuse to provide sample.

The Halton Regional Police Service remains committed to road safety through prevention, education and enforcement initiatives.

Members of the public are reminded that driving under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol is a crime in progress and to call 9-1-1 immediately to report a suspected impaired driver.
