Firearms and weapons charges laid against 21 year old Burlington Resident

On December 19, 2018, members of the Halton Regional Police Service Drug and Human Trafficking Unit with the assistance of the Halton Regional Police Tactical Rescue Unit and Burlington Uniform officers concluded a weapons investigation in Burlington.

A 21 year old Burlington resident was arrested without incident at his place of work and a Criminal Code search warrant was executed at his residence on Warwick Drive in Burlington.

Seized were 3 knives and a converted .22 caliber handgun and ammunition.

Nathan LACELLE-BADCOCK, 21 years of Burlington was charged with Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm, Knowledge of Unauthorized Firearm, Possession of Prohibited Firearm with Ammunition, Breach of Firearms Regulation, Fail to Comply with Probation, and three counts of Breach of Prohibition Order 117.01(1) of the Criminal Code of Canada.

LACELLE-BADCOCK was held in custody pending a bail hearing and is scheduled for court on December 20, 2018.
