***UPDATE**** Missing Elderly Male from Burlington Located


The Halton Regional Police Service began investigating a missing person incident on February 8th, 2019.

Halton police are pleased to report that on February 9th, 2019, Ivan Eskit has been located in good health along with his two German Shepherds.  Mr. Eskit was located by Durham Regional Police in the Town of Bowmanville.  Family is enroute to be re-united with him. 

The Halton Regional Police Service would like to thank the public for their concern and assistance in this investigation.

The Halton Regional Police Service is seeking the public's assistance in locating a missing Burlington man. 

Ivan Eskit was last seen on February 8th, 2019 leaving his residence which is in the area of Guelph Line and Mountainside Drive in the City of Burlington at approximately 10:30am.  He is male white, 67 years of age, 5'10" tall, 200lbs, with slicked back grey hair and a goatee.  Ivan was last seen wearing a brown shirt, jeans and grey winter jacket. (See attached photo of missing male)

He requires medication daily and does not have his medication with him.  Family members are becoming increasingly concerned for his well-being. 

Ivan was last seen driving away in a dark blue 2008 Jeep Patriot - four door SUV with Ontario License plate – BCXV073.   Ivan also had his two German Shepherd dogs with him. (See attached photo of similar style vehicle)

Anyone with information regarding Ivan's whereabouts is asked to contact Detective Jared McLeod of the Burlington Criminal Investigations Bureau at 905-825-4747 ext. 2385 or the on duty Staff Sergeant at ext. 2310.
