Unexploded Explosive Ordinance Disposal

On Thursday, February 14th 2019, at 5:30 pm, police were contacted by a Burlington resident requesting assistance in disposing of vintage military ammunition which was later identified as an Explosive Ordinance.  Police arrived and blocked off the street located at Clarendon Park Drive in the City of Burlington.  The Halton Regional Police Service Explosive Disposal Unit attended and retrieved the Ordinance (undetonated).  There was a short road closure while the ordinance was removed for safe disposal.  Roads have since reopened and there is no concern for public safety.

Residents are reminded that if they have any unknown ordinance, vintage or modern, it is important not to handle the device and should contact police immediately.
