Shortly before 4:00 pm on February 26, 2019, Halton Regional Police Service uniform officers, Tactical Rescue Unit and Canine Unit responded to a report of shots being fired at a residence on Garrison Square in Georgetown.
On arrival, police located several shell casings near a home on Garrison Square. There have been no reports of injuries in relation to this incident.
Witnesses report a suspect fled the area in a white or silver, newer model Honda Accord or Hyundai, direction of travel unknown. The suspect is described as male, approximately 5’9”, wearing a dark grey hoodie with possibly a darker coloured jacket. The suspect was seen with a black handgun.
A responsible party has yet to be identified, no weapon has been recovered, and the investigation is ongoing.
There is no known, ongoing, related threat to public safety at this time.

That suspect is described as male, approx. 5'9", wearing a dark hoodie with possibly a darker coloured jacket.
Suspect was seen with a black handgun. If seen, do not approach. Call 9-1-1.
