Impaired Driving Offences Within Halton Region

On March 11, 2019, just after 5:30 pm, Halton Police officers responded to a citizen-initiated complaint in the area of Ninth Line and Dundas Street in Oakville. As a result of an investigation, Nana-Yaw Asante (18) of Brampton was charged with operation while impaired.

On March 15, 2019, just after 12:00 am, Halton Police officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Headon Forest Drive and Newport Street in Burlington. As a result of an investigation, Steven Tapp (53) of Burlington was charged with blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

On March 15, 2019, just after 3:00 pm, Halton Police officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Third Line and Upper Middle Road in Oakville. As a result of an investigation, Sam Rajadas (37) of Oakville was charged with blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

On March 15, 2019, just before 9:30 pm, Halton Police officers responded to a citizen-initiated complaint in the area of Laurier Avenue and Coulson Avenue in Milton. As a result of an investigation, Allan Giles (66) of Milton was charged with operation while impaired and blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

On March 16, 2019, just before 5:00 pm, Halton Police officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Brant Street and Amherst Heights Drive in Burlington. As a result of an investigation, Lorraine Black (66) of Burlington was charged with operation while impaired and failure or refusal to comply with demand.

On March 16, 2019, just before 6:00 pm, Halton Police officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Third Line and Rebecca Street in Oakville. As a result of an investigation, Diana Galic (44) of Oakville was charged with blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

On March 16, 2019 just after 10:30 pm, Halton Police officers responded to a collision in the area of Delrex Boulevard and Mountainview Road in Halton Hills. As a result of an investigation, Malgorzata Koziel (44) of Halton Hills was charged with operation while impaired and blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

On March 17, 2019 just after 9:30 pm, Halton Police officers were conducting a R.I.D.E. initiative in the area of North Service Road and highway 407 in Burlington. As a result of this initiative, Daniel Brown (38) of Waterdown was charged with blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

On March 17, 2019, just after 10:30 pm, Halton Police officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Dundas Street and Trafalgar Road in Oakville. As a result of an investigation, Rabiya Iqbal (38) of Milton was charged with blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

The Halton Regional Police Service remains committed to road safety through prevention, education and enforcement initiatives.

Members of the public are reminded that driving under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol is a crime in progress and to call 9-1-1 immediately to report a suspected impaired driver.
