Arrests Made In Early Morning Burlington Robbery

On Saturday March 23rd, 2019 at approximately 5:20am, three unknown males whose faces were concealed entered the Becker's convenience store at Brant Street and Upper Middle Road in the City of Burlington.

One of the males brandished a firearm and the three males robbed the lone clerk of a quantity of money, cigarettes and lottery tickets, prior to leaving the area in a motor vehicle being driven by a fourth unknown suspect.

Neighbouring police agencies were notified and at approximately 6:17am Peel Regional Police advised Halton investigators of a motor vehicle collision that had occurred in the City of Mississauga, involving the same vehicle.  Peel Regional Police uniform patrol and K-9 officers attended the area of the collision and located four youths, who were believed to be responsible for the robbery.

Custody of the youths was transferred to members of the Halton Regional Police Service, who are continuing the investigation.  A quantity of stolen property was recovered and the victim was not injured.

All four youths are being held pending a bail hearing, facing charges including; Robbery with a firearm and wear disguise with intent to commit an indictable offence.
