Oakville Collision With Life Threatening Injuries

‚ÄčOn Wednesday May 8, 2019 at 1958hrs, Halton Regional Police were dispatched to Valleyridge Drive south of Dundas Street in the Town of Oakville, for a motor vehicle collision involving serious injuries.  Emergency services personnel attended the scene and found two females who were suffering with head injuries and required immediate care.

An 84 year old Burlington resident was taken to local hospital in serious condition and a 92 year old Oakville resident was taken to a trauma centre in life threatening condition.

The Collision Reconstruction Unit attended the scene and assumed responsibility for the investigation.  It would appear that the vehicle involved in the collision became stuck on the curb.  As the driver attempted to reverse, she fell out of the open driver's door and a pedestrian was struck as the vehicle was moving.

Any witnesses to the collision, who haven't spoken to police, are urged to contact the Collision Reconstruction Unit at (905) 825-4747 extension 5065.
