Impaired Driving Offences Within Halton Region

​On May 22, 2019, just after 2:00 am, Halton Police officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Guelph Street and Delrex Boulevard in Georgetown. As a result of an investigation, Kevin St Amant (33) of Georgetown was charged with operation while impaired and blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

On May 23, 2019, just before 9:30 pm, Halton Police officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Water Street and Randall Street in Oakville. As a result of an investigation, Rajvir Guron (34) of Brampton was charged with operation while impaired and blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

On May 24, 2019, just before 2:30 am, Halton Police officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Mill Street and Martin Street in Milton. As a result of an investigation, Robert Galligan (34) of Milton was charged with blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

The Halton Regional Police Service remains committed to road safety through prevention, education and enforcement initiatives.

Members of the public are reminded that driving under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol is a crime in progress and to call 9-1-1 immediately to report a suspected impaired driver.

The Service's Twitter and Facebook accounts should not be used for this purpose as they are not monitored 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Please be reminded that all persons charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.​
