The Halton Regional Police service is proud to support our members and colleagues who are members of the Association of Black Law Enforcers (A.B.L.E.), as the association celebrates 26 years of "Working Better With Our Communities". This year, the 26th Annual Scholarship Awards Gala will be held in Halton, courtesy of Chief Stephen Tanner, on Saturday, May 25, 2019 at the Burlington Convention Centre.
The Scholarship Awards Gala will feature a formal dinner, dynamic awards presentation, keynote speech by Justice Donald McLeod, and entertainment provided by, Jan Morgan, Liberty Silver, Chris Hayles, April Mullings, Kimya Hypolite, The Halton Regional Police Chorus, and Halton Jazz Singers.
As part of the gala, we will proudly be recognizing the incredible work of some of our local citizens, and honour the history of community collaboration between our police service and the black community as well as other communities we serve.
Media availability will be from 5:30 pm to 6:00 pm. Members of the media are requested to attend the registration desk upon arrival.
