Milton Sexual Assault **Arrest Made**

On Monday June 10th 2019, Members of the Child Abuse and Sexual Assault Unit located and arrested the accused in the City of Hamilton.

The accused Benjamin NOVIKOV (27 years of Hamilton) was charged with Sexual Assault, Assault, Robbery, Utter Threats, and Fraud Under $5000.  He was held for a Bail Hearing.

The accused met the victim while utilizing the on-‚Äčline website "Leo's List" and was know to use a number of different profile names, including "Thor Odinson", "CandyBen" and "Champion".

Halton Regional Police Service reminds members of the public to be vigilant when on line, and engaging with others.

ORIGINAL RELEASE:

On Thursday June 6, 2019 at approximately 11:15 pm, police were alerted to a disturbance in the commercial area of Nipissing Road near Childs Drive in Milton.

Police attended and located the victim who had been sexually assaulted.  The assailant had already fled the scene.

Suspect Description:  Male, white, approximately 30 years of age, muscular build, blonde hair, blue eyes, white shirt and baseball hat.

Vehicle Description:  Chrysler 4 door sedan, silver

The suspect has yet to be identified.  Any witnesses are asked to call Detective Joe Barr of the Child Abuse and Sexual Assault Unit (CASA) at 905-465-8969.
