Impaired Driving Offences Within Halton Region

​On June 10, 2019, just after 8:00 am, Halton Police officers responded to a citizen-initiated complaint in the area of Steeles Avenue and Trafalgar Road in Halton Hills. As a result of an investigation, Maryon Tondera (40) of Woodbridge was charged with operation while impaired and failure or refusal to comply with demand.

On June 11, 2019, just before 1:00 pm, Halton Police officers responded to a citizen-initiated complaint in the area of Third Line and Dundas Street in Oakville. As a result of an investigation, Ritu Deol (39) of Mississauga was charged with operation while impaired and failure or refusal to comply with demand.

On June 13, 2019, just after 12:30 am, Halton Police officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Marlborough Court and Trafalgar Road in Oakville. As a result of an investigation, Mark Hausen (45) of Mississauga was charged with failure or refusal to comply with demand.

On June 13, 2019, just before 1:30 am, Halton Police officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Parkhill Drive and Durante way in Milton. As a result of an investigation, Ryan Sickinger (28) of Lefroy was charged with operation while impaired.

On June 13, 2019, just before 11:00 am, Halton Police officers responded to a citizen-initiated complaint in the area of Pacific Road and Wyecroft Road in Oakville. As a result of an investigation, David Abel (42) of Etobicoke was charged with operation while impaired and blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

On June 13, 2019, just after 12:00 pm, Halton Police officers responded to a citizen-initiated complaint in the area of Glen Abbey Gate and Third Line in Oakville. As a result of an investigation, Jovan Stojkovic (57) of Oakville was charged with operation while impaired and blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

On June 13, 2019, just before 11:00 am, Halton Police officers responded to a citizen-initiated complaint in the area of Bronte Street South and John Street in Milton. As a result of an investigation, Paul Friesen (54) of Milton was charged with blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

On June 13, 2019, just after 10:00 pm, Halton Police officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Appleby Line and Dundas Street in Burlington. As a result of an investigation, Derek Pallister (40) of Burlington was charged with operation while impaired and blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

On June 14, 2019, just before 1:00 am, Halton Police officers responded to a citizen-initiated complaint in the area of Steeles Avenue and James Snow Parkway in Milton. As a result of an investigation, Lawrence Manu (32) of Georgetown was charged with operation while impaired and blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

The Halton Regional Police Service remains committed to road safety through prevention, education and enforcement initiatives.

Members of the public are reminded that driving under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol is a crime in progress and to call 9-1-1 immediately to report a suspected impaired driver.

Please be reminded that all persons charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.​
