Impaired Driving Offences within Halton Region

On July 18, 2019, just after 8:00 pm, Halton Police officers responded to a citizen-initiated complaint in the area of Derry Road and Regional Road 25 in Milton. As a result of an investigation, Tanya Petruskavich (50) of Milton was charged with operation while impaired and blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

On July 18, 2019, just before 10:30 pm, Halton Police officers responded to a citizen-initiated complaint in the area of Plains Road West and Unsworth Avenue in Burlington. As a result of an investigation, Lefert Slotboom (73) of Hamilton was charged with operation while impaired and blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

On July 19, 2019, just after 2:30 pm, Halton Police officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Third Line and Upper Middle Road in Oakville. As a result of an investigation, Ameer Danha (54) of Oakville was charged with blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

On July 19, 2019, just before 7:30 pm, Halton Police officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Maple Avenue and Fairview Street in Burlington. As a result of an investigation, Edgar McGrath (47) of Burlington was charged with failure or refusal to comply with demand.

On July 20, 2019 just before 4:00 am, Halton Police officers responded to a collision in the area of Reese Court and Potts Terrace in Milton. As a result of an investigation, Cole McLauchlan (19) of Milton was charged with operation while impaired.

On July 20, 2019 just before 9:30 pm, Halton Police officers responded to a collision in the area of Ninth Line and Dundas Street in Oakville. As a result of an investigation, Arthur Melo (57) of Oakville was charged with blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

On July 21, 2019, just before 11:00 pm, Halton Police officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of East Street and Marine Drive in Oakville. As a result of an investigation, Gannon McSween (40) of Oakville was charged with blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

On July 22, 2019 just after 1:30 am, Halton Police officers responded to a collision in the area of Salcome Drive and Coronation Drive in Oakville. As a result of an investigation, Daniel Krbavac (24) of Oakville was charged with operation while impaired and blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

The Halton Regional Police Service remains committed to road safety through prevention, education and enforcement initiatives.

Members of the public are reminded that driving under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol is a crime in progress and to call 9-1-1 immediately to report a suspected impaired driver.
