Impaired Driving Offences Within Halton Region

​On July 26, 2019, just after 9:00 am, Halton Police officers responded to a citizen-initiated complaint in the area of Plains Road East and Fairview Street in Burlington. As a result of an investigation, Michael Kalagian (36) of Wainfleet was charged with operation while impaired.

On July 26, 2019, just before 5:30 pm, Halton Police officers responded to a citizen-initiated complaint in the area of Prince Charles Drive and Rexway Drive in Georgetown. As a result of an investigation, Brian Odor (48) of Georgetown was charged with operation while impaired.

On July 27, 2019, just after 11:30 pm, Halton Police officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Gatwick Drive and Roxton Road in Oakville. As a result of an investigation, Yeliz Kiziltan (42) of Oakville was charged with operation while impaired and failure or refusal to comply with demand.

On July 27, 2019, just after 12:00 am, Halton Police officers where conducting an R.I.D.E. initiative in the area of Lakeshore Road and Inglewood Drive in Burlington. As a result of an investigation, Marlen Rodriguez Betancourt (46) of Burlington was charged with operation while impaired and blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

On July 27, 2019, just before 4:30 am, Halton Police officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Steeles Avenue and Ninth Line in Halton Hills. As a result of an investigation, Ramon Jarrett (36) of Mississauga was charged with operation while impaired and blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

On July 27, 2019, just before 10:30 pm, Halton Police officers responded to a citizen-initiated complaint in the area of Campbellville Road and Tremaine Road in Milton. As a result of an investigation, Michael La Salle (21) of Milton was charged with operation while impaired and blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

On July 28, 2019, just before 4:30 am, Halton Police officers responded to a citizen-initiated complaint in the area of Trafalgar Road and River Glen Boulevard in Oakville. As a result of an investigation, Mike Mwanthi (32) of Mississauga was charged with operation while impaired and blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

The Halton Regional Police Service remains committed to road safety through prevention, education and enforcement initiatives.

Members of the public are reminded that driving under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol is a crime in progress and to call 9-1-1 immediately to report a suspected impaired driver.

Please be reminded that all persons charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.​
