Impaired Driving Offences Within Halton Region

​On February 3, 2020, just after 10:30 pm, Halton Police officers responded to a citizen-initiated complaint in the area of Mountainview Road South and No. 10 Side Road in Halton Hills. As a result of an investigation, Michael Zormann (29) of Brampton was charged with operation while impaired and failure or refusal to provide sample.

On February 5, 2020, just before 1:30 am, Halton Police officers responded to a citizen-initiated complaint in the area of Royal Windsor Drive and Winston Churchill Boulevard in Oakville. As a result of an investigation, Ivan Vukin (61) of Oakville was charged with operation while impaired and blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

On February 5, 2020, just after 8:30 pm, Halton Police officers responded to a citizen-initiated complaint in the area of Appleby Line and Dundas Street in Burlington. As a result of an investigation, Issmaeel Lawendy (31) of Waterloo was charged with operation while impaired and blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

On February 6, 2020, just before 3:00 pm, Halton Police officers responded to a citizen-initiated complaint in the area of Cornwall Road and Allan Street in Oakville. As a result of an investigation, Steven Janczak (44) of Oakville was charged with operation while impaired and blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

On February 6, 2020 just before 7:00 pm, Halton Police officers responded to a collision in the area of Trafalgar Road and Marlborough Court in Oakville. As a result of an investigation, Marc Tigh (67) of Oakville was charged with operation while impaired and blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

On February 7, 2020, just after 2:00 am, Halton Police officers responded to a citizen-initiated complaint in the area of Upper Middle Road and Third Line in Oakville. As a result of an investigation, Gage Henderson (27) of Oakville was charged with blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

The Halton Regional Police Service remains committed to road safety through prevention, education and enforcement initiatives.

Members of the public are reminded that driving under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol is a crime in progress and to call 9-1-1 immediately to report a suspected impaired driver.

Please be reminded that all persons charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.​
