Arrests Made in Connection to Armed Robberies in Georgetown

​On December 27, 2019 an armed robbery was committed at the Tim Hortons located at 11 Mountainview Road North in Georgetown. On January 9, 2020, a second armed robbery was committed at Domino's Pizza located at 324 Guelph Street, Georgetown. In both incidents a black handgun was observed.

After an investigation the Halton Regional Police Service identified the person responsible as 19 year old male from Georgetown. On February 26, 2020 the accused was arrested and has been charged with the following:

-Robbery (x2)

-Disguise with Intent (x2)

-Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose (x2)

-Conspiracy to Commit an Indictable Offence

The accused was held for a bail hearing.  

Police have also identified a 15 year old male from Georgetown as an involved party to the robbery at the Domino's Pizza. This young person was arrested and charged with:

-Conspiracy to Commit an Indictable Offence

-Public Mischief

The young person was released on an undertaking. Under the Youth Criminal Justice Act the identity of the young person cannot be revealed.  The identity of the 19 year old will not be released by police to protect the identity of the 15 year old.
