Impaired Driving Offences Within Halton Region

​On March 13, 2020 just before 4:00 pm, Halton Police officers responded to a collision in the area of Lakeshore Road West and Third Line in Oakville. As a result of an investigation, Christopher White (22) of Oakville was charged with operation while impaired and blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

On March 13, 2020, just before 11:00 pm, Halton Police officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Chapman Crescent and Houston Drive in Milton. As a result of an investigation, Kyle Betts (28) of Milton was charged with blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

On March 14, 2020, just before 12:30 am, Halton Police officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Mill Street and James Street in Milton. As a result of an investigation, Christopher Strickland (42) of Milton was charged with blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

On March 14, 2020, just before 6:00 pm, Halton Police officers responded to a citizen-initiated complaint in the area of South Service Road and Harvester Road in Burlington. As a result of an investigation, Ernest Mueller (57) of Hamilton was charged with blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

On March 15, 2020, just before 2:30 am, Halton Police officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Winston Churchill Boulevard and Stockholm Road in Oakville. As a result of an investigation, Thomas Hendricks (41) of Manassas was charged with blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

On March 15, 2020, just before 11:00 pm, Halton Police officers responded to a citizen-initiated complaint in the area of Bell School Line and Derry Road in Burlington. As a result of an investigation, Omar Downey (34) of Etobicoke was charged with failure or refusal to comply with demand.

The Halton Regional Police Service remains committed to road safety through prevention, education and enforcement initiatives.

Members of the public are reminded that driving under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol is a crime in progress and to call 9-1-1 immediately to report a suspected impaired driver.

Please be reminded that all persons charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.​
