The officer involved in the collision at Trafalgar/Postridge this morning has been cleared medically and has not sustained any significant injuries. He'll be going home this morning. The other person involved in the collision was not injured.
The Collision Reconstruction Unit has assumed carriage of the investigation and will be providing additional details and updates as their investigation progresses. The Halton Regional Police Service would like to thank everyone for exercising their patience and discretion this morning while the investigation is underway.
**ORIGINAL MEDIA RELEASE**
The eastbound lanes of Dundas Street are currently closed at Postridge Drive as a result of a collision that occurred between a police cruiser and another motor vehicle at 5:20 a.m.. The officer has been transported to the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital for assessment, and the citizen driving the other motor vehicle was not injured. The officer is not believed to have suffered any serious injuries.
