Impaired Driving Offences Within Halton Region

‚ÄčOn August 10, 2020 just after 8:30 pm, Halton Police officers responded to a collision in the area of Palmer Drive and Michael Crescent in Burlington. As a result of an investigation, Barry Colvin (56) of Burlington was charged with operation while impaired and blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

On August 11, 2020, just after 11:00 pm, Halton Police officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Howard Road and Plains Road East in Burlington. As a result of an investigation, Russell Harrell (57) of Burlington was charged with blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

On August 11, 2020, just after 11:30 pm, Halton Police officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Dorval Drive and the Queen Elizabeth Way in Oakville. As a result of an investigation, James Singh (28) of Bolton was charged with blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

On August 12, 2020, just after 11:00 pm, Halton Police officers responded to a citizen-initiated complaint in the area of Guelph Line and Prospect Street in Burlington. As a result of an investigation, Tracey McCarthy (48) of Burlington was charged with operation while impaired and blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

On August 13, 2020, at approximately 4:00 pm, Halton Police officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Ninth Line and Upper Middle Road East in Oakville. As a result of an investigation, Iqlovedeep Singh (23) of Brampton was charged with blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

On August 14, 2020, just after 1:30 am, Halton Police officers responded to a citizen-initiated complaint in the area of Appleby Line and Steeles Avenue in Milton. As a result of an investigation, Christopher Sudak (39) of Grand Valley was charged with operation while impaired and blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

The Halton Regional Police Service remains committed to road safety through prevention, education and enforcement initiatives.

Members of the public are reminded that driving under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol is a crime in progress and to call 9-1-1 immediately to report a suspected impaired driver.
