Police have located missing Burlington resident Tom McDonald (83 years) who is safe and in good health.
Police would like to thank the various media outlets and members of the public for all the assistance received in this matter.
Original Release:The Halton Regional Police Service is seeking the public's assistance in locating a missing 83 year old male person from the City of Burlington.
Missing Person: Tom McDonald
Vehicle: 2015 Chrysler 300 vehicle (black) with Ontario licence plates LIC# BWWN 624 attached.
An 83 year old male with apparent dementia left his family home at about 5:30 pm and is driving a black Chrysler 300 motor vehicle. The missing male does not have a mobile telephone with him.
Tom McDonald is describes as having a medium build, approximately 6 feet tall (183 cm), short grey hair and clean shaven.
Clothing description: Grey and white plaid button up shirt, grey trousers, blue winter jacket, dark plaid slippers and he wears silver eyeglasses.
There is no known destination for Mr. McDonald and he may have become confused and continues to drive or he has parked his motor vehicle at an unknown location.
Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of Tom McDonald are asked to contact the Halton Regional Police Service at (905) 825-4747 (extension 5670 --communications or extension 2310 --30 Division) or use the 911 emergency line if necessary.
If located outside of Halton Region please contact your local police agency as soon as possible and use the 911 emergency lines if necessary.
