Crime Prevention Week - 2017

Ontario’s annual Crime Prevention Week, Building Safer Communities Together, runs the first week of November each year. The week-long promotion of crime prevention is supported by the Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police (OACP), the Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services, and all police services across Ontario.

Halton Regional Police Service will be working with local schools, community groups and regional partners to promote community safety as a shared responsibility in our community.

Connect with Halton Regional Police and tell us your stories or ask your crime prevention and community safety questions through our Twitter accounts using the hashtag #CPWeek2017.

This year, we are presenting five short public service announcements (PSAs) that talk about how our Community Safety and Well-Being plan addresses the issues of our Priority Populations, Traffic Safety, Focus on Crime and Mental Health and Addictions. These five PSA videos will be released one at a time over the course of Crime Prevention Week (embedded below) and will be available through our YouTube channel as well as our FaceBook, Twitter and Instagram accounts.
