Ontario’s annual Crime Prevention Week, Planning Together for Safer Communities, runs the first week of November each year. The week-long promotion of crime prevention is supported by the Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police (OACP), the Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services, and all police services across Ontario.
Halton Regional Police Service will be working with local schools, community groups and regional partners to promote traffic safety as a shared responsibility in our community.
Connect with Halton Regional Police and tell us your stories or ask your crime prevention and traffic safety questions through our Twitter accounts using the hashtag #CrimePreventionWeek.
This year, we are presenting a public service announcement (PSA) that raises awareness about distracted driving. This PSA is available online (embedded below) and will be showcased in local cinemas throughout Crime Prevention Week.
