Crime Stoppers of Halton

Crime Stoppers is a non-profit, non-police organization that encourages members of the public to anonymously communicate information regarding criminal activity in exchange for cash.

It is available at: http://www.haltoncrimestoppers.ca or Toll Free: 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).

Tips can also be submitted via text to 274637 (CRIMES), starting your message with TIP201 or online at: https://www.tipsubmit.com/WebTips.aspx?AgencyID=201.

The Crime Stoppers Tip Line is available 24 hours-a-day, seven days-a-week. Tips can also be submitted online through the Crime Stoppers website.

When a member of the public calls Crime Stoppers, they are assigned a special code number which is used for future contact with Crime Stoppers personnel. Calls are never traced nor recorded, and Crime Stoppers does not subscribe to Call Display. Informants are only known by their code numbers.

Crime Stoppers shares all information it receives with the appropriate police service(s) to assist with their investigation(s). If the information provided leads to a charge or an arrest, the source may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,000.
