On July 24th, 2017 a male suspect disguised himself as a "Fed Ex" Delivery Driver and attended Hopedale Convenience located at 1515 Rebecca Street in the Town of Oakville. The male entered the convenience store during a busy time and proceeded through the store, empty handed, to the entrance area of the cash counter. The male proceeded to pick up a box full of various packages of cigarettes valued at approximately $1000.00 that were waiting to be put away behind the counter. With a delivery scanner in hand, the male attempts to legitimize the incident by pretending to scan the box as he walks out of the store.
