Offence Description:

On January 30, 2015 at approximately 13:00 hours a female left her purse on a chair in the Georgetown Marketplace food court. She returned later to find it missing.

An independent witness stated that she observed a male standing next to the purse. A passerby asked if someone had left their purse behind and the male stated that the female who owned the purse was returning for it. The witness then observed the male, who appeared to be concealing something under his sweater, walking out the food court doors into the parking lot. She also noticed at this time that the purse was missing. The male returned a short time later and entered the mens washroom. Upon exiting the washroom, he was asked by security if he had a purse, to which he responded no.

The suspect then left the area in a white coloured pick up truck with no known direction of travel.

Security searched the washroom and located the purse in one of the stalls.

A $20 bill and credit card were missing from the purse.

Suspect: Male, white, in his 30s, approximately 510", heavy build, with a brown or red beard, wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt and a dark coloured toque.
