Occurrence Number:

Theft Under $5000

Offence Date:

Offence Location:

25 - 28yrs

Offence Description:

On an unknown date and time, staff at Canada Computers located at 101 James Snow Parkway in Milton noticed that there were loose "spiders" in the computer aisle of their store. An inventory of the area revealed two missing computer mice, Steel Series Rival and Logitech makes.

A review of CCTV footage revealed that on July 17, 2019 at about 1126, a male suspect entered the store, walked to the computer aisle, and concealed the two devices down his pants. He took a third mouse off the shelf, but was interrupted by staff before he could conceal this as well. He engaged the staff in conversation, then handed them back the mouse, and exited the store. At no time did the suspect attempt to pay for the merchandise concealed in his pants. "Spiders", also called "Spider Wraps" are used in asset protection, and are typically placed on higher end items in an effort to deter thefts.

The suspect is described as male, white, 25-28 years, 5'8", 140 pounds, medium build, light brown hair, blue baseball cap worn backwards, blue jeans, white runners, black and white checkered shirt over a blue t-shirt.
