On August 29, 2024 at approximately 7:57am the Halton Regional Police Service responded to a
collision involving a pedestrian at the intersection of Thompson Road and Maple Avenue in the Town
of Milton.

A white RAM 2500 pick-up truck being operated by a 51 year old Halton Hills resident was travelling
westbound on Maple Avenue. The pick-up truck made a left turn onto Thompson Road, striking a 70
year old pedestrian who was crossing on the south side of the intersection.

The pedestrian was transported to an out of region trauma centre with serious, but non-life-threatening
injuries.

Due to the nature of the injuries, the Collision Reconstruction Unit attended to assist uniform patrol
with the investigation.
