The Halton Regional Police Service has arrested four suspects in relation to a stolen vehicle investigation in Oakville.

On September 12, 2023, at approximately 4:20 am, officers attended the South Oakville Chrysler dealership located at 174 Wyecroft Road in Oakville for reports of a group of suspects who were observed to be attempting to steal a blue Dodge Ram.  The suspects had arrived in a black Dodge Ram that was later determined to have been stolen from Mississauga on September 11, 2023.

Responding officers observed the black Ram in the area and attempted to initiate a traffic stop.  The driver failed to stop for police and fled the area at a high rate of speed.  The vehicle ultimately lost control and hit a guard rail on the QEW westbound in the area of Bronte Road. 

The three occupants of the vehicle were arrested at that time.

Aashish Sharma (31) of Mississauga was charged with:

  • Theft of Motor Vehicle
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000 (stolen licence plate)
  • Possession of Master Key
  • Possession of Break in Instruments

Jennifer Singh (30) of Toronto was charged with:

  • Theft of Motor Vehicle
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000 (stolen licence plate)
  • Possession of Master Key
  • Possession of Break in Instruments
  • Flight from Police
  • Dangerous Operation
  • Fail to Comply with Release Order (2 counts)
  • Fail to Comply with Undertaking

Rajpal Sran (37) of no fixed address was charged with:

  • Theft of Motor Vehicle
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000 (stolen licence plate)
  • Possession of Master Key
  • Possession of Break in Instruments

The three suspects were transported to hospital for minor injuries.

At approximately 4:30 am, officers received information that another suspect was still at the Chrysler dealership.  Officers returned to the dealership and the fourth suspect was located and placed under arrest.

Himanshu Yadav (25) of Etobicoke was charged with:

  • Theft of Motor Vehicle
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000 (stolen licence plate)
  • Possession of Master Key
  • Possession of Break in Instruments
  • Assault with Intent to Resist Arrest
  • Possession of Schedule I Substance – Heroin
  • Fail to Comply with Release Order
  • Fail to Comply with Undertaking

All four suspects were held in custody pending a bail hearing.
